Jennifer Lawrence was late to the 2016 Oscars that she was rushed down the red carpet. But she barely made it into her seat before the start of the telecast. Jennifer was nominated for Best Actress for her role as inventor Joy Mangano in the David O. Russell film Joy.

Jennifer looked gorgeous in a sheer black lace gown from the Spring Couture collection. A dozen of the the House of Dior's couturiers modified the gown for Jennifer. They lengthened the tiered skirt, added a slip and made other alterations so it would work for the red carpet.

Dior did Jennifer's hair and makeup: we really loved they way they styled her hair, with a short center part and fullness in the back, with the front sweeping into an elegant lob. On her face they applied Diorskin Forever Foundation # 022. for her eyes, they used the new Diorshow Maximizer 3-D Lash Primer, followed by Diorshow Mascara # 090 in Pro Black. On her lips she wore the new Dior Addict Ultra Gloss # 343 Spring Ball.

Jennifer lost out in her category to Brie Larson for her performance in Room, but it didn't seem to dampen her spirits one bit. Here she is sitting next to actress Charlize Theron.
