Alexander McQueen Launches McQueen Parfum Fragrance

Alexander McQueen has launched a new fragrance called McQueen Parfum. Model Maartje Verhoef stars in the campaign for the fragrance. The campaign was photographed by Paolo Roversi.

The fragrance was developed for McQueen by P&G Prestige Beauty. The scent is made from the essence of three night-blooming flowers. The include Sambac Jasmine, Tuberose and Ylang Ylang. WWD reports that the fragrance also contains notes of clove, vetiver and pink and black pepper.

The fragrance is sold in a unique fantastic looking perfume bottle. The dark bottle has a gold base. It also golden feathers covering the crown. It comes with a tiny book that contains details about the notes in the perfume and the bottle design. The fragrance is sold at McQueen's London and Paris boutiques as well as at Harrods.

McQueen Creative Director Sarah Burton told WWD, "It's about nighttime, dreams, obsessions, collections and the sub-conscious."
