Museum of Ice Cream Opens in New York City

The Museum of Ice Cream is a pop-up exhibit in the Meatpacking district of New York City. The sold out exhibit runs from July 29th to August 31st.

The museum has features like a pool of sprinkles and edible helium balloons. The founder of the project, Mary Ellis Bunn, says the museum was a childhood dream. She describes it as "Willa Wonka-esque." The exhibit has a website at museumoficecream.

Bunn says, "As I child I had an idea of swimming through a pool of sprinkles. No one really sees childhood ideas to fruition and I'm doing that so that's something that's super magical. It's been amazing to see everyone playing. It has just been fun. The sprinkles are not actually real but they do look real." Take a look:
