Surface Pro 9 Devices Include a 5G Version

Surface Pro 9

The Surface Pro 9 is the latest portable 2-in-1 laptop from Microsoft. It is available in two main configurations - an Intel processor based configuration and a 5G version that runs on a Microsoft SQ 3 processor.

Graphics and Display

Each version has a 13-inch PixelSense Flow Display 10-point multi-touch with 2880 x 1920 resolution. They have a dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz, 3:2 aspect ratio and 1200:1 contrast. The displays are made using Gorilla Glass 5. The 5G version has Microsoft SQ 3 Adreno 8CX Gen 3 graphics while the non 5G version uses Iris Xe graphics.

Processor and Memory

The 5G version runs on the Microsoft SQ 3 processor while the non 5G version is available with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor. Each model has different RAM configurations available.

Storage

The non 5G version is available with an SSD of up to 1TB and the 5G version has SSD configurations up to 512GB.

Other Features

Each model has a Windows Hello face authentication camera and 10 MP rear-facing autofocus camera. The 5G also has Windows Studio Effects. The 5G gets up to 19 hours of usage on its battery and the non 5G Surface Pro 9 gets up to 15.5 hours. The 5G uses Microsoft Pluton for enhanced security while the non 5G uses a TPM 2.0 chip with BitLocker support. Each device runs Windows 11 home and comes preloaded with Microsoft 365 apps and a 30-day Microsoft 365 Family trial.

There are several color styles available, including new styles Sapphire and Forest. Pricing for the Intel version starts at $999 and pricing for the 5G version start at $1,299.99.
