Krispy Kreme Launches Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut

Krispy Kreme is offering a new doughnut to celebrate the upcoming eclipse. It is called the Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut. The doughnut has an Oreo cookie in the middle.
The Total Solar Eclipse doughnut is dipped in black chocolate icing and piped with a buttercream made with Oreo pieces. It has the whole Oreo in the center.
Krispy Kreme also created an eclipse doughnut for the 2017 eclipse. That doughnut was an Original Glazed doughnut in a chocolate glaze.
Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, says in the announcement, "Eclipses are rare and so is our out-of-this-world Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut. Even if you can’t be in the path of totality you can get in the path of these treats, which you will eat in totality. Stop by and get some for you and some to share so you can flex your science side and great taste at the same time."
The limited-time item will be available only from April 5th through April 8.
