The 2013 Gingerbread White House and Springerle Cookies Recipe

The 2013 Gingerbread White House has been revealed. It is a 300-pound gingerbread replica of the White House. The Gingerbread White House was built by Pastry Chef Bill Yosses and his team.

The house rests on a custom-made hearth built with over 1,200 Springerle cookies. A recipe for the cookies can be found here (PDF).

The impressive gingerbread hosue even has a little Bo and Sunny sitting on the front steps of the White House. It also has a functioning replica of the North Lawn fountain. Here is a video of the construction of the 2013 Gingerbread White House. Take a look:
