Apple Reportedly Developing Electric Vehicle

Posted on February 16, 2015

The world's biggest tech giant may be entering the automotive industry. Reports are circulating that Apple is developing an electric car. The Wall Street Journal reports that the minivan like vehicle could challenge the Tesla.

Other reports says Apple is also studying a self-driving car design. Bloomberg says Apple has been considering the idea of developing a car for many years.

This is by no means a sure thing and Apple has not commented on the rumors. Apple likely tests many ideas that it never brings to market. Bloomberg says a source tells them Apple has "put a few hundred employees to work on the secretive project." If this is true then the project may be a little farther along than a test project.

We hope if Apple is working on a car they make it a self-driving car as that appears to be the future of vehicles. We also hope it looks a lot more like the futuristic concept car in this CNET video than the Ford 021C pictured in Time. The Apple car has a rumored name of Titan. It sounds like a far more exciting project than the Apple Watch. Take a look:
