Posted on June 23, 2016

Collector dolls based on character dolls from Fox's hit show Empire are in the works. Tonner-One World has cut a licensing deal with Fox to launch the dolls. The first two dolls planned are for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard).

EW reports that the dolls are expected to arrive on store shelves around the time the third season of Empire begins. That will be sometime this September. Boxes of the dolls have been released as have drawings of the dolls. Cookie is wearing a large fur coat in the sketch and Lucious has a suit and purplish tie. No images of the dolls have been released yet.

Designer Robert Tonner tells EW, "We are thrilled to be designing a collection based on Empire, a show that has redefined fashion on television. Our beautifully-crafted dolls will immortalize the show's popular characters, fully embracing the exquisite style esthetic the show brings to the small screen."
