Arby's Launches The Marrot, a Carrot Made with Meat

Posted on June 29, 2019

Arby's has introduced a new product called the Marrot. The marrot resembles a carrot and it is made of meat. Arby's is clearly trolling the meatless products being offered by fast-food and casual food chains with its new offering.

A video shows the marrots being made. The meat used in the item is chicken. Other ingredients include dried carrrot juice powder, salt and pepper. It is cooked sous vide style. Arby's is calling it a "megetable."

Arby's said in the announcement: "Plant-based meats are the latest incarnation of making vegetables look like what Americans really want, which is great, tasty meat."

The item did get Peta's attention. They said Arby's is stuck in the "Stone Age" according to Insider. Insider also says Arby's is still experimenting on how to offer the marrot to customers. Once option could be a fried marrot.
