Barilla Launches Microwaveable Pasta Called Ready Pasta

Barilla has unveiled a microwaveable pasta called Barilla Ready Pasta. It makes fully cooked al dente pasta in 60 seconds. It comes in four types: Elbows, Gemelli, Penne and Rotini.

The pasta is made with three ingredients: fully cooked pasta, extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. It has no preservatives and is non-GMO.

To make the pasta customers first kneed the Ready Pasta pouch and then tear the pouch open about 1 inch. The pouch is then microwaved for 60 seconds. After cooking you add a cooked protein, such as a chicken or shrimp. You could also add cheese, basil, tomatoes pasta sauce and other extras.
