British Vogue Adult Fashion Coloring Book is a Must Have
Posted on October 23, 2015
Adult coloring books are all the rage right now. We were a bit surprised to discover how many people we know have a secret adult coloring book habit. But it turns out that drawing and doing coloring books are therapeutic for those that have a stressed out lifestyle. There's just something about choosing the right colored pencils and making an illustration your own that soothes the brain. It's also difficult to think about anything else while your are busily coloring, so it gives your brain a rest.
Now British Vogue is releasing the most fabulous coloring book we've ever seen. The Vogue Colouring Book is packed with hand-drawn designs inspired by the pages of Vogue magazine in the 1950s. You won't find any grunge, sneakers or shorts here. This is a collection of gorgeous gowns, dresses and other clothing for the stylish woman of a bygone time.
Think ball gowns, smart day ensembles and cocktail dresses from designers such as Balenciaga, Givenchy, Chanel and Christian Dior. The book is being published in November to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of British Vogue next year.
Iain R. Webb, celebrated fashion writer, editor, artist and professor at the Royal College of Art, wrote and illustrated the book, which also features style tips and snippets from the magazine.
Update: The coloring book is now in stores. It can be found on Amazon.com.
