Chanel SS 2017 Robot Minaudiere
Posted on May 10, 2017
If Chanel ever gets into robotics we hope they make a line of little droids that look like this guy. The cute little robot is a bag from the Chanel Spring/Summer 2017 Ready to Wear collection. He fits right in with the electronic themed collection. The fashion show featured models walking through part of a data center.
The small robot decorative bag features gold-tone metal and ruthenium-tone metal. The colors include black, green and red. It has little wrench-like arms. The robot has the Chanel logo in green on its body which was designed to resemble a circuit board.
The adorable bag is currently listed as available on Chanel's website but Chanel says to call for pricing. Purseblog reports that it costs $15,500. Chanel may not have made very many of them but even so that is a lot more than we expected.
There is also a listing for the bag on Sotheby's with several great pictures of the bag.
Models also dressed like robots at the start of the Spring-Summer 2017 Chanel show. You can see a model swinging the cute little robot bag around the 10:40 mark.
