Chipotle Boorito Halloween Promotion

Posted on October 25, 2016

Chipotle has been running its Halloween Boorito promotion for the past several years. The annual Halloween celebration involves people dressing up in costumes and visiting Chipotle to get discounted burritos, bowls, salads or tacos.

The deal for $3 or $4 items is typically available from on Monday, October 31st from 3 p.m. to closing at all Chipotle locations.

The Boorito campaign also includes a charitable component. Proceeds from previous campaigns helped raised $1 million for the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. The Boorito campaign first started in 2000 and the foundation was established in 2011.

Mark Crumpacker, chief creative and development officer at Chipotle, says in a statement, "Boorito is a tradition that we started in 2000, to simply give a treat to our customers while celebrating Halloween. It's gotten to the point that for our long-term customers, we don't even need to mention Boorito anymore, as they're coming in anyway knowing they're going to have a great time enjoying the food they love, all while supporting a good cause."

In 2018, Chipotle used this entertaining cartoon to celebrate the Boorito. It featured Frankenstein guacamole, ghost chips and a Mummy boorito.
