Taco Bell to Launch Taco Shell Made of a Fried Egg
Posted on August 30, 2017

Taco Bell will soon be offering a taco shell made from a fried egg. The taco itself will be stuffed with breakfast morning flavors. The interior ingredients include crispy potatoes, bacon or sausage, and cheese. Taco Bell plans to launch the fried egg taco shell on August 31. Taco Bell first started offering breakfast in 2014.
Liz Matthews, Chief Food Innovation Officer at Taco Bell Corp, says in the announcement, "Shell innovation is at the core of where we experiment - and whether it's crispy chicken, biscuits or waffles that wrap up menu item classics - we bring our fans craveable and unexpected food experiences that leave them wanting more."
Taco Bell says the fried egg shield will be available for a limited time a la carte for $1.99 or in a breakfast combo that includes a coffee or medium drink and 2 Cinnabon Delights or a hash brown for $3.99.
