Hatchimals Surprise Eggs Available for Pre-Order for Hatchimals Day

Hatchimals Day falls on Friday, October 6, 2017 this year. Spin Master Corp. will unveil new eggs, a new hatching process and a new species on this day. Pre-orders for the Hatchimals Surprise eggs became available today. It is a clever way to reveal a new toy, similar to the concept that works well for book and movie releases.

Spin Master CEO Anton Rabie told Money, "We did something we've never done before. In 23 years of our history, we've never launched a toy on one day like a movie release. But we did that with Hatchimals. We had an official unboxing event, and then it really started to gather phenom status about mid-October, when all these YouTube and unboxing videos launched."

It was a big hit so they are doing it again. Ben Gadbois, Spin Master's Global President and COO, says in the 2017 announcement, "As we continue to deliver on our innovation pipeline, we are proud to announce our second annual Hatchimals Day on Oct. 6 when we will introduce a whole new way of hatching for children across the globe."

The new Hatchimals Surprise eggs retail for $69.99. The higher price has fans excited for what might be inside. Three of the surprise eggs can be found at Target stores. They include a pink egg, purple egg and an egg called "Ligull." A twin purple egg and an egg named "Zuffin" can be found at Walmart.com.
