Joby Launches GorillaPod Speaker Stand

Joby has launched a new flexible speaker stand designed for use with portable wireless speakers. It is called the GorillaPod Speaker Stand. Joby says it works with many top wireless speakers, including the Beats Pill, Ultimate Ears Boom, Jambox, Sony SRSX2 and JBL Pulse.

Tim Grimmer, vice president of Brand and Product for Joby, says in a statement, "Placing portable speakers on surfaces like the ground or tabletops can often result in a decrease in the quality of the speaker's sound with an increase in sound vibration. With the GorillaPod Speaker Stand, music lovers can now achieve ultimate sound quality and a premium listening experience with their portable speakers by placing them on virtually any surface or location.."

The design is similar to Joby's camera stands. It can be used in uneven surfaces and challenging terrains such as a tree limb, tent, rock, the beach or a vehicle tailgate.
