LaCie has announced the LaCie Sphere. The silver sphere was designed by Christofle. It was handcrafted and silvered in France. The shiny sphere contains a 1TB hard drive. It also features USB 3.0. It is powered through the USB cable so a power cable is not required.
Thierry Oriez, president and CEO, Christofle, said in a statement, "We combined our obsession with the reflection of silver with LaCie's technical expertise to create a hard drive that exudes elegance and sophistication like no other."
The drive will costs $490 and will be available for purchase later this month.
