Latest WowWee Toy is a Robotic Dog Named CHiP
Posted on February 25, 2016
WowWee is known for its robotic toys including MiP, Miposaur and Robosapien. The toy company recently introduced its latest robotic toy, a robot dog named CHiP. CHiP is short for Canine Home Intelligent Pet. The robotic dog can fetch, play, attack and sleep.
CHiP comes with SmartBand that can be used to remote control the dog. The band also helps CHiP identify and recognize his owner. WowWee says the robot can respond to gesture-based interactions including swipes, claps and touches.
The robot dog comes with a SmartBall that he plays with and fetches. CHiP recharges himself in his SmartBed. He can feel it when you pet him through his capacitive touch sensors. CHiP also has a sic 'em mode where you can have CHiP attack a person. CHiP will bark aggressively and "attack" the individual.
Update 6-26-16: A release date of August 30, 2016 has been set for the robotic dog. It has a price tag of $199.99. Take a look:
