Acer Launches Acer Iconia W3, an 8.1-inch Windows 8 Tablet

Acer has announced the launch of the Acer Iconia W3, which is the first full-featured 8.1-inch tablet running Windows 8. Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 comes pre-installed on the device. The tablet weights 1.10 pounds and measures only 0.45 inches thick. It is powered by an 1.5 Ghz Intel Atom Dual-Core processor. It has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of Flash memory storage.

The device has a 10-point multi-screen, two built-in stereo speakers, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2 megapixel front-facing camera. Acer says it has an 8-hour battery life.

The tablet, which retails for $379.99, will be sold at Microsoft stores, Microsoftstore.com, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples, Amazon.com and Walmart.
