Alexa Loses Her Voice in Amazon's Funny Super Bowl Ad

Amazon is airing a hilarious Super Bowl ad this year. Alexa, Amazon's voice assistant, has lost her voice. A very worried looking Jeff Bezos is told not to worry. The Amazon Alexa team has come up with several voice replacements.

The replacement voice actors include celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, rapper Cardi B, actress Rebel Wilson and Sir Anthony Hopkins. The stars can be seen wearing headsets with ear pieces that resemble an Amazon Echo device.

If you own an Alexa-enabled device it won't be activated by the commercial. Quartz reports that Amazon used "acoustic fingerprinting technology" to keep Alexa from thinking her name being used in the ad is a command.

The entertaining commercial has some wondering if there will be celebrity Alexa voice options available in the future. Take a look:
