Trend: Heel Hop Classes Have Women Exercising in High Heels

Super high heels have been trendy now for several years and show no signs of disappearing from stores. When Nordstrom carries 4" heels that used to be reserved only for strippers, you know the trend has gone mainstream.

Dancer Kamilah Barrett had to dance in heels for music videos for rap stars such as 50 Cent and for tours, and had to find a way to move in the heels without getting injured. She created Heel Hop, a class that features core strengthening and teaches women how to walk and dance in heels.

Kamilah trained one dancer who landed a gig as a backup dancer for Beyonce at the Super Bowl. After all, you can't dance for Beyonce in flats. Now lots of women are taking the classes to learn how to move correctly in heels. They seem to love it. Just don't tell your orthopedic surgeon. Take a look:
