Mattel Unveils Barbie Video Girl at Nuremberg Toy Fair

Barbie Video Girl made her debut at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Barbie Video Girl has a small video screen on her back that can play back videos recorded with her integrated camera. Barbie Video Girl received first prize in the category of Trend + Lifestyle at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.

The doll is now in stores and has an MSRP of $49.99. As seen at the toy fair the doll using a tiny camera (located in her necklace) to record videos that can be played back on the little screen located on the back of her jacket. This hidden camera is something parents should be aware of - Barbie Video Girl could be recording you. The Barbie can also be connected to a computer using the USB cord. The doll comes with special Video Girl editing software.

iJustine (Justine Ezarik) took a tour of Mattel's factory to see how Barbie Video Girl was made. iJustine even got to visit the hair station where Barbie hair is made. Take a look:
