Google Launches Gmail Blue

Google has announced the launch of Gmail Blue. Nothing else has changed with the service, but everything is blue. The Gmail team said they tried brown, but it was a disaster. "It's Gmail, only bluer."

Google says the technology was not there to turn Gmail blue until recently. Everything is blue. Fortunately, it has different shades of blue. Take a look:

This was an April Fool's joke but Google also points to a Gmail Blue Chrome Extension by developer Shon Dalezman that actually turns Gmail blue.
