Leatherback Gear, LLC has unveiled a backpack that converts to a bulletproof vest. The backpack can transform into a full torso ballistic protection device in seconds. It transforms into a protective vest with 2 soft armor panels to protect your front and back. The panels have NIJ threat level protection IIIA.

The backpack also has laptop and tablet storage compartments. It has an internal velcro and nylon strapping system. Other features include a felt-lined sunglass pocket, RFI lined/blocking pocket, hidden pockets in the shoulder straps, straps that transform into tourniquets, internal front organizer pocket and other hidden pockets.
