Love Letters Bedding and Blankets
Posted on August 19, 2010
True romantics may appreciate the Love Letters Bedding, which is printed with handwritten affections and remembrances from letters from the early 1900's. The bedding was a collaboration between Anthropologie and Ruffian design duo Brian Wolk and Claude Morais.
The designer say, "We have always had a fascination with written correspondence, whether it be historical letters or the poisonous pens of naughty aristocrats in Dangerous Liaisons. When we found an old hatbox full of scripted letters at our favorite vintage shop, we immediately knew we needed to give them a second life, so we brought them back to our studio and began to collage them together. For us, the idea of lying on a bed of love letters conjured up images of our favorite films, and we knew at that moment that we wanted to turn our collage into bedding."
A look at the bedding and the actual letters that inspired them can be seen on Beddingchic.
A similar idea is the Passion of Jane Austen comforter from Society 6. Although this comforter uses a typewritten font instead of script.
You can also write your own custom letter on a woven blanket with a service from Frankieprintco.
Finally, here's a love letter blanket as a DIY project from the Hallmark Channel:
