Italian Chefs in Naples Create the World's Longest Pizza

Posted on June 27, 2016

250 Italian chefs worked together to create the world's longest pizza. The enormous Neapolitan pizza was created along the seafront of Naples.

The Guinness World Records blog reports that the pizza is officially the longest. It is 1,853.88 metres, 6082.2 feet or 1.15 miles long. The chefs worked very hard to set the record.

The very long pizza was made using 2,000 kg of flour, 1,600 kg of tomatoes, 2,000 kg of fiordilatte cheese and 200 litres of olive oil. The ingredients were all locally sourced. Five portable wood ovens were used to bake the pizza. The remaining pizza was redistributed to those in need through local charities.
