American Gerbil Society Holds Gerbil Pageant

The American Gerbil Society recently held a gerbil pageant, the New England Gerbil Show, at Middlesex Community College. Libby Hanna, president, American Gerbil Society, says a gerbil show is not that unlike a cat show.
The gerbils don't have to do anything particular. They are judged on how they look. This includes body type and color.
There was a hamster ball race on a track but it was just for fun. We hope there will be many of these pageants. The gerbils seem to having a great time. Take a look:
