Magic 8 Ball TV Series in the Works

The Magic 8 Ball from Mattel is going to become a live-action television series. It will be a supernatural drama. It has big names behind it including M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Split, Signs) as director, co-creator and showrunner and Brad Falchuk (Glee, American Horror Story) serving as writer, co-creator and co-showrunner.
Mattel says in the announcement: "Together, they aim to reimagine the classic Magic 8 Ball as the centerpiece of a high-concept, character-driven supernatural drama that blends psychological intensity with cultural intrigue."
Mattel says its Magic 8 Ball toy sells 1 million units per year. It has been around for 75 years. The ball pictured below is sold on Amazon.
Little is known yet about the upcoming series. No casting has been announced.
Shyamalan says on Instagram that he has been working on it for a couple years. He shared a pilot title page.
