Designer Christopher Kane Launches Embellished Crocs Line

Designer Christopher Kane has collaborated with Crocs for a special line of Crocs shoes. The Christopher Kane x Crocs collection features Crocs embellished with charms, ornaments and feathers. Crocs have been shunned by the fashion industry so it is interesting to see a brave designer put their take on the popular shoes, which are made from Crosslite, a proprietary foam resin.

A Vogue report on Kane's Crocs says the shoes are "rock-encrusted" and pass the trend test. Kane told Vogue, "I've always been a fan of the iconic Crocs Clog. I like that they are perceived by some to be quite 'ugly' and not at all feminine or designed to flatter."

There are four styles of the Christopher Kane x Crocs collection. They include Black & White Tiger Clogs (pictured), Avocado Tiger Clogs, Ochre Tiger Clogs and Crocs Honey Tiger Clogs. They were only available in a limited edition. You can view large images of the styles on christopherkane.com.
