Fisher-Price Unveils Code-a-Pillar Coding Toy at CES 2016

Posted on January 22, 2016

Fisher-Price unveiled an adorable new learning toy for preschoolers at 2016 CES. The Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar is a robotic caterpillar with components that snap together. The concept behind the toy is to teach young kids to start thinking in terms of coding.

Each segment of the caterpillar has a symbol or instruction on it such as an arrow pointing in a certain direction or a music symbol. When the Code-a-Pillar is turned on it will act out the instructions in order as programmed by the child.

CNET's Scott Stein reports that the cute coding toy will arrive on store shelves in June. There will also be expansion blocks sold in packs of three. Take a look:

Update 5-27-16: Code-a-Pilllar is available for purchase on Amazon.com.
