Renee Zellweger Covers American Way Magazine

Renee Zellweger covers the September issue of American Way magazine. Renee will reprise her role as Bridget Jones in the upcoming film Bridget Jones's Baby, which arrives in theaters on September 16. The first film made nearly $300 million worldwide. Hugh Grant is not in the new film but it does have Colin Firth and Patrick Dempsey.

In the interview, she talks about her return to movies with the Bridget Jones film after an absence of several years. She says, "I craved the creative process again. When I stopped making films, it was because it became more depleting than rewarding. It was because of the way I was living my life, and I don't think you can be good in a creative medium if you aren't grateful for the opportunity to participate. I started to miss it and I felt ready."

She also explained how she identifies with the character from Helen Fielding's novels. Renee says, "I ruminate about the stupid things I've said that I wish I didn't say. If the worst possible thing could happen at the worst possible moment, it always does. That? Now? Yes! And deal with it."

Renee also revealed that she writes lengthy emails to friends. Hugh Grant once said he received a 48 page email from her. That is a very long email. Renee is currently reading A Farewell to Arms and The Sun Also Rises. She loves the HGTV channel.
