Rihanna Unveils Fenty Puma Fall 2016 Collection at New York Fashion Week

Posted on February 21, 2016

Rihanna unveiled her new Fenty Puma 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week. Rihanna also walked the runway in a hooded coat and laced up boots. The collection will include footwear, apparel and accessories. It will arrive in stores this fall.

Rihanna says she drew inspiration from Japanese culture for her Puma line. She first started partnering with Puma in December 2014. Some of the accessories in the collection will include durags, caps, chokers and veiled sweatbands.

One of the footwear items is an over-the-knee Eskiva boot. Rihanna will also be launching a new Fenty Trainer later this month and a Fur Slide in April. Her Puma Creeper will return with new colors in May 2016.

Rihanna says of her new sportswear collection, "This collection is not only a representation of who I am and how I dress, but also pushes the boundaries of what I wanted to create with Puma. I wanted to take Puma to a new place with something unpredictable and unexpected. It's Japanese street culture with a haunting twist. I played with texture and silhouettes and all of the fabrics are luxurious. I reinterpreted the traditional in my way. I'm looking forward to sharing the collection with the fashion community and fans."
