Posted on September 8, 2013

Sony announced the VAIO Tap 21 at IFA 2013. Large desktop towers are quickly becoming a thing of the past thanks to ever-shrinking computer components. The VAIO Tap 21 is a Windows 8 powered computer with a 10-point multi-touch 21.5-inch display. The display has a 1920 x 1080 resolution. The Tap 21 is encased in aluminum with clean edges and a diamond cut VAIO logo. The tabletop PC features a freestyle stand which allows users to easily change the angle of the screen. VAIO Tap 21 can be used as a desktop PC. It can also be carried around or laid flat.

The VAIO Tap 21 will be available with a Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and can be configured with a Solid State Drive or Hybrid Hard Drive. Engadget reports that Sony says the Tap 21 is 50% thinner than its predecessor. Pricing and a release date have not yet been announced.
