Sony Launches Vaio Series X at IFA 2009

Posted on September 11, 2009

Sony unveiled its ultrathin Sony Vaio Series X laptop at the IFA 2009 tech trade show. Gadgetwise reports that the 1.5 pound laptop is expected to sell for $1,299 and be available late October.

Slashgear says thin Vaio X squeezes in "two USB ports, an ethernet port, SD/Memory Stick slot, and a VGA output." Slashgear puts the price tag at "under $2,000." We won't know the price and release date for sure until Sony releases the details.

We hope Sony will have models posing as mannequins while holding the new Sony laptops at New York Fashion Week like they did in February with the previous Vaio model.
