Tadashi Shoji Concept Store Designed by Interior Architecture Students
Posted on May 17, 2016
A new Tadashi Shoji store at the Glendale Galleria mall in Calif. features experimental concept collaborations by students from Woodbury University's School of Architecture and architects at March Studio. The experimental, short-term concept store will feature a series of branded installations.
The 2,200 square-foot store opened in early May. Students will use research from both internal and external sources to produce branded objects. Tadashi Shoji and March Studio have had a creative collaboration since 2002.
Lara Hoad, Design Director, March Studio, says in a statement, "This is a true collaboration involving the architect, the client and students. Branding, long associated as a marketing strategy, has taken on issues of creating individual and company identities. This project will investigate how interior architecture can inform and shape branded retail experience."
