Acer Unveils Liquid S2 Smartphone

Acer unveiled its Liquid S2 smartphone at the IFA 2013 conference in Berlin. The smartphone features a very large 6-inch screen and is Acer's first 4K recording smartphone. It is big enough to be labeled a phablet with that large of a screen. The phone is powered by Android 4.2.2. It has 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 2.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

Acer says the The Liquid S2 comes loaded with several camera enhancements. These includes BSI Sensors and LED Ring Flash for sharper pictures. There is also a Favorite Mode which lets users create up to five profiles with customized effects.

The smartphone will arrive in Europe in October. A U.S. launch date has not been announced.
