Chef Daniel Boome Makes an Irish Corned Beef Dinner for St. Patrick's Day

Posted on March 16, 2012

Chef Daniel Boome stopped by Good Morning America to share a St. Patrick's Day feast. Danny is English, not Irish, but he loves Irish food and spending St. Patrick's day in New York City. Danny makes an Irish Corned Beef Dinner with corned beef brisket, onions, white potatoes, carrots and cabbage. The brisket is quite fatty, he says, which will make it tender if it's boiled a long time. He brigs the brisket to a boil, then simmers for 3 1/2 hours. He adds the vegetables and simmers another 30 minutes and it's done. He also makes Sauteed Brussels Sprouts and red cabbage. For desssert he makes a Shamrock Shake, which consists of vanilla ice cream, 2% milk or cream, mint extract and green food coloring.

You can watch the video and find Danny's recipe on Good Morning America.
