Hermes: RTW Fall 2010

Jean Paul Gaultier sent a truly inspired collection down the runway at the close of Paris Fashion Week. The Hermes fall 2010 ready to wear collection featured model Lily Cole stalking the catwalk in a fabulous black leather catsuit, black umbrella, a black bowler hat and a black handbag, which was just the beginning of the many amazing Avengers moments to come.

The collection was all about perfect menswear tailoring, leather, perfect accessories and a style sensibility that is all about Mrs. Peel (Diana Rigg) and John Steed (Patrick Macnee), who was never seen without his bowler hat and umbrella. Gaultier talked about being inspired by a number of classic British icons (both real and fictional), including spies like James Bond, and menswear pieces worn by bankers in the City, which were reworked for the feminine form. We just loved this collection: bring on the catsuits, menswear and bowler hats for fall. Take a look:
