Posted on April 1, 2019

Google has launched Google Tulip, a new technology that lets you talk to a tulip. It was create using machine learning technology and analysis of tulip to tulip communications. Google says it "digitized flower communications over the centuries and have built a machine learning system to identify what the tulips are communicating."

Google says in the April 1st announcement that it used Google Cloud Speech to Text and Auto ML Natural Language to train the machine learning models. They also use Cloud IoT Core to collect the audio data from individual tulips.

It would actually be nice if we could talk to the flowers. Not surprisingly, the tulips primary request is for water. They tried it with a cactus but it wanted to be left alone.
