Parents Tell Oprah of Continued Search for Kidnapped Madeleine McCann

Posted on May 4, 2009

It's now been two years after Madeleine McCann disappeared in Portugal at the age of 4. Her parents appeared on The Oprah Winfrey show today to show a new computer-generated photo that shows what Madeleine would look like today.

Forensic experts created the image using software which can predict how a child's features will change as they age. Kate McCann still keeps Madeleine's room ready for her and tries to keep a positive attitude. The McCanns seem absolutely devastated with grief, yet determined to find their kidnapped little girl.

The McCanns were considered suspects in the case for a time, but were cleared by the authorities. We wish them luck in their search. The Oprah show with the McCanns will air in 100 countries and the McCanns are hoping that it will generate some leads in the case.

The retired British police detectives that the McCanns have hired to find Madeleine believe that the key lies in Portugal, in the resort town where Madeleine was kidnapped. They have witnesses who says they saw a man carrying a blond child near the McCann's apartment the night she was abducted. The investigation is ongoing.
