Kylie Minogue Invites Brits to Australia in Matesong Campaign
Posted on December 28, 2019
Singer Kylie Minogue invites Brits down under in a new campaign from Tourism Australia that launched on Christmas Day. The campaign song, called Matesong, features original lyrics by Australian singer-songwriter Eddie Perfect.
The ad features cameos by famous Australians including Shane Warne, Ash Barty, Ian Thorpe, Zac and Jordan Stenmark, the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars and more. It also features some of Australia's beloved animals, including the Quokka and Koala.
Kylie says, "Filming the Matesong music video was literally a dream come true. I've had the opportunity to see parts of the country I haven't seen before, as well as to go home and revisit places that I know are beautiful. I'm such a proud Australian that I've spent most of my life travelling around the world sharing my stories of Australia with anyone who would listen, so I kind of feel like a walking tourism advert for Australia already."
Kylie dons multiple outfits as she showcases scenic parts of Australia in the entertaining ad. The image above was photographed in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory, Australia by Nicole Bentley. Take a look:
