Starbucks Launches Birthday Cake Frappuccino

Starbucks has launched the Birthday Cake Frappuccino. It will be available from March 26 to March 30. The Birthday Frap is available as a vanilla bean and hazelnut, topped with raspberry-infused whipped cream.

The new beverage is being launched to celebrate the Frappuccino's 20th anniversary. Starbucks first tested the Frappuccino in 1993 in less than 300 stores in the U.S. and Canada. It was a very hot summer which helped boost the popularity of the blended coffee beverage. The drink was pushed out to all stores in the summer of 1995. Starbucks says the drink helped bring customers who are not typically coffee drinkers into its stores.
