Gemmy Unveils Inflatable Wings for Halloween
Posted on October 21, 2014
Gemmy unveiled a new Halloween costume accessory for 2014. The product, called Inflatable Wings, comes in several varieties. The wings come deflated and inflate by turning on a switch on a black device. Gemmy is best known for its popular Halloween inflatable outdoor decorations, so it knows how to make inflatable products.
The wings are a clever idea. They are not expensive and can turn an ordinary outfit or dress into a costume. The wings are carried by ASDA and Walmart. Gemmy says the wings self-inflate in seconds. Some of the varieties available include Rainbow Butterfly Wings, Black Demon Wings, Devil Wings and Dark Angel Wings. The wings can be found are being sold on Walmart and range in price from $9.97 to $19.97. We think the black and red devil wings pictured below look the best.
Gemmy has released a video showing a girl getting ready for Halloween and using the Butterfly Wings and the Devil Wings. She straps the wings on over her shoulders. She then inflates the wings using the controller. Take a look:
Update: The Gemmy wings are getting harder to find but we did find them at Yard Inflatables.
This is not the first Halloween item ever to feature inflatable wings. The Buzz Lightyear Inflatable Jet Pack, which was released a few Halloweens ago, included a jet pack with inflatable vinyl wings.
