KB Toys Will No Longer Accept Gift Cards After January 11th

Posted on January 8, 2009

Spend your KB Toys gift cards quickly. If you own a gift card for KB Toys you need to spend it by Sunday, January 11th. The company will no longer be accepting them after this date reports The Seattle Times, which says a statement was released by the Washington state Attorney General's office about the expiring cards.

The Seattle Times says: "Gift cards bought at stores cannot be redeemed on the KBToys.com Web site. Gift cards bought online can be replaced with an electronic gift certificate for purchases on KBToys.com, though the site does not say when those certificates expire."

KB Toys announced in December they would be filing for bankruptcy and closing down stores. Gift cards were less popular over the holidays because of fears that that stores would be closing.
