McDonald's Introduces New Happy Meal Character

McDonald's has introduced Happy, its new Happy Meal ambassador character. Happy resembles a Happy Meal with feet and arms. He has a huge grin with human-like teeth. McDonald's says Happy is an animated Happy Meal box.
Bloomberg reports that some people are frightened of Happy. Some Twitter users also called Happy scary on replies to McDonald's tweet introducing the character.
The character was first introduced in France in 2009 so McDonald's must have found at least some people overseas reacted favorably to the character since he is still here five years later.
McDonald's also announced today a yogurt side option for kids that will be available for inclusion in Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals starting July 4.
