Barbie Has Worked for American Airlines and Pan Am as Flight Attendant and Pilot

The first flight attendant Barbie doll was released by Mattel in 1961. The 1961 doll wore an airline stewardess suit with cap and pin. She carried an American Airlines bag. Barbie also worked for Pan Am in 1966 with a Barbie My Favorite Career Doll. A reproduction of this stylish doll can be found at Barbie's Mattel site. A more modern version of Barbie as a flight attendant was the Barbie I Can Be Flight Attendant Doll was released in the 1990s. This Barbie is ready to make it through the narrow aisles of the airplane with her pink beverage cart.
There was also a Barbie Pink Passport Glamour Jet released in 2010. This set enabled Barbie to be the pilot or the flight attendant on a flight.

There was also a pilot Barbie doll released in 1989 called Flight Time Barbie.
