Tiger Woods Lands Rolex Deal

Posted on October 11, 2011

Tiger Woods lost a lot of endorsement deals after his string of tawdry affairs made major news in late 2009. Tiger Woods had to tell the world he was deeply sorry. Accenture was one of the first brands to dump Tiger after his scandalous affairs. He was recently dropped by watch maker Tag Heuer.

Tiger Woods has not been playing well, so it is a surprise to hear that he has landed a two-year deal with Rolex. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but a Wall Street Journal article says sports marketing experts tell them the deal is not nearly as good as the endorsement deals Tiger used to get.

Rolex said in a statement they are convinced Woods still has a long career ahead of him.

Rolex is convinced that Tiger Woods still has a long career ahead of him and that he has all the qualities required to continue to mark the history of golf. The brand is committed to accompanying him in his new challenges.

Tiger Woods played in the Frys.com Open. His first round was disappointing and he finished far back from the leaders.

Here's a Tiger Woods' Rolex video called "Every Rolex Tells a Story."
